This is latest in a lengthening catalogue of deaths at Harlow's stations since the beginning of the year - with seven fatalities since February.

On February 26, Peter Lelean, 23, from Cannonsgate, Harlow, was killed at Harlow Town. On March 3, Michael Begley, 62, of Mark Hall Moors, in Harlow, died at Harlow Mill Station.

Ten days later Elden Chase, 47, was struck and killed at Harlow Mill Station.

On April 15 Dean Pickard, 33, from Hoddesdon, and Katie Gumble, 35, from Harlow, died after being struck on the line at Harlow Mill, however police have yet to confirm whether they are treating these deaths as suspicious.

On April 29, 54-year-old Alan Baker, from Harlow, was killed at Harlow Town Station.

A British Transport Police spokesman refused to comment on whether there were thought to be any reasons why Harlow was becoming a rail line death hotspot.
